Chamber Releases Public Employee Salary Reports
The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce commissioned Jeremy Aguero of Applied Analysis and Guy Hobbs of Hobbs, Ong & Associates to research, review and analyze state and local government spending in Nevada.
Below are the first two reports in a series of comprehensive reports outlining Nevada's government expenditures. The first report compares Nevada's public employees' salaries to the national average. The second report details the disparity between the state's pay in the public sector and pay in the private sector. It is important to note that these reports compare actual salaries and do not include benefits.

The attached State-to-State Comparison of Public Employee Compensation Levels that compares local government salaries in Nevada to those nationally has been revised with a corrected version of Exhibit 1.3.
An administrative error occurred in which a dated version of the exhibit was attached to the originally issued report. This changed some of the comparisons at the local government service level in Exhibit 1.3. In addition, Exhibits 2.1 and 2.2 also had minor revisions that did not impact the conclusions of the report.
The original report was based on correct data and none of the conclusions or analysis of that report have been changed. Applied Analysis and Hobbs, Ong & Associates have rechecked all of the data in both of the reports and have found it to be accurate and correct. |
